Stewardship: Committees

St Joseph Church is a stewardship parish rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

 

Fiesta  
Coordinator: Doug Bostrom
Contact Info Parishioners experienced in the areas of finance, cash control procedures, food sales and preparation, games, and security. Under the leadership of a coordinator who facilitates periodic meetings throughout the year, fiestas are an important part of the life of the Church. They are a time for the Church family to gather and celebrate the accomplishments of the previous year and fund raise for the next.
   
Finance Council  
Coordinator: Gerran Brown
Contact Info Serves as an advisory body to the pastor and the pastoral council in the administration and stewardship of parish finances, budget, parish facilities, and long range financial development. Members of committee are appointed by pastor on the basis of their financial expertise.
   
Liturgy  
Coordinator: Ed Thaete
Contact Info The Liturgy Committee consists of parishioners who plan, coordinate and implement liturgical celebrations to enhance spirituality for the parish community. Meetings are held once a month.
   
Pastoral  
Coordinator: Judy Gaspar
Contact Info Serves as an advisory committee to the pastor and encourages the fullest collaboration of clergy, religious and laity. The committee enables a parish to become ever more fully a portion of the people of God, sharing in the mission of Christ, and developing the structures necessary for supporting its community life and carrying out its mission.
   
Respect Life  
Coordinator: Geraldine Thaete
Contact Info This committee addresses the sanctity of all life from conception to natural death   It also seeks to educate on the need to respect the dignity of the handicapped and elderly.
   
Stewardship  
Coordinator:  
Contact Info Members act on behalf of the “preferential option of the poor” and the common good. Seek ways to develop just processes and policies to govern social justice outreach projects based on basic principles and biblical foundations for Social Catholic Teaching.
   
Welcoming  
Coordinator:  
Contact Info The Welcoming Committee is a group of parishioners who contact the newly registered in our parish. After the pastor’s letter of welcome and information packet are received, a follow-up letter is sent and a call made to answer questions, give additional information, and further welcome the new member to the parish community.
